On Obama and Science

Obama gets it.  He understands the challenges that the United States will face if we don’t turn some things around.  Especially in education and science in particular.

It is good to see a thinking man as a nominee.  I can’t wait to have an intellectual back in the highest office in the land.

Not that these have anything to do with the science and education post… but needed to remind those who click on the link in the comment above that McCain’s foreign policy outlook is … scary and stuck in the Cold War era and even earlier. In his own words, as published in The Boston Globe: “Of course we have to deal with Russia and we deal with Putin,” McCain told WITF radio in Harrisburg, Pa. “But it has to be on a very realistic basis. And not one that there’s any illusions about his ambitions. I think it’s very clear that Russian ambitions are to restore the old Russian Empire. Not the Soviet Union, but the Russian Empire.”
